1958 Regent Stamp Album Aden to Chile & USA 2900+ Mint & Cancelled Stamps

  
This item is a Regent Stamp Album that was started in or around 1958 and is also dated 1958. It features 2900+ Mint or Cancelled examples and all were mounted with care by the Original Owner. The Album was active between 1958 and the Late 1970's with many examples ranging from the Late 1800's to the 1970's. While the Album has many pages and sections that have no stamps, the sections that do have stamps are all somewhat better than average type but with few somewhat rare examples with most of these from the late 1800's. A USA Section is at the beginning of the Album and while most of these are fairly common types, with the exception of the very early Stamps, many pages from the 1940's & 1950's are full or almost full to include a great deal of 1960's & Early 1970's. With this said, most all US Stamps are Cancelled types. Most of the condition issues will be found on the Cover Section of the Album.

The Inside Pages and Mounted Stamps all appear crisp and it is obvious that the inside section and stamps were all handled with care and in the correct way. While not complete, the USA Section is the largest group in the Album. It appears the Original Owner added color to the outside section of the Cover and then added clear tape on top to seal the Cover in what appears to be an attempt to enhance the outside. We are not sure this helped, however, the inside section is spot on for such an old Album.

While we do not list each Stamp, we do list the number of stamps seen from each Country along with how many are Mint, how many are Cancelled and a date range for each. Our counts and date ranges that we give are not likely perfect but it will give a good idea what is inside. We show several pages in our photos but with photo limits we are only able to show a sample of what is inside. Below is a list that shows each Country that have represented Stamps and the count and date ranges of the Mint & Cancelled types seen. USA: 950+ almost exclusively Cancelled with most between the 1940's & 1960's with a somewhat large Commemorative Selection seen.

Aden: 3 Cancelled Late 1940's to Early 1950's. Aden Qu'aiti, State of Shihr & Mukalla: 4 Cancelled Late 1940's. Afghanistan: 3 Mint Likely 1920's or 30's. Ajjan: 1 Mint 1960's.

Albania: 8 Mint with with Somewhat Rare 5 Over-stamped from Early 1920's, 2 from 1950's, 1 from 1960's / 3 Pre-Cancelled from 1960's. Algeria: 3 Mint Late 1930's to Mid 1940's / 14 Cancelled 4 from 1930's, 5 from 1940's, 1 from 1950's, & 3 Pre-cancelled from 1960's(In envelope).

Andorra: 9 Mint with 3 from 1944 & 5 from 1955. Angola: 8 Mint with 2 Likely 1920's to 1930's & 6 from 1961(1 is loose between pages) / 4 Cancelled with 3 from 1950's & 1 from 1960's. Antigua: 7 Mint with 3 from 1960's & 4 from 1970's. Argentina: 15 Mint with 9 from 1930's, 2 from 1940's, 4 from 1950's / 75+ Cancelled with 14 from 1880's to 1890's, 7 from Early 1900's, 2 from 1920's, 24 from 1930's(Several are out of order in Album), 17 from 1940's(7 are out of order in Album), 17 from 1950's & 1960's.

Azerbaijan: 2 Mint 1920's. Benin: 1 Mint & 1 Cancelled both Likely Late 1940's. Bahamas: 1 Mint 1954 / 3 Cancelled with 1 Early 1900's, 1 from 1954 & 1 from 1965.

Barbados: 45+ Mint with 1 from 1953 & the rest from the Late 1960's & Early 1970's(34 are inside an envelope between the pages) Also, 24 of the Mint. Stamps are in Blocks of 4 / 11 Cancelled with 3 from the Early 1900's, 3 from the 1930's, 3 from 1961(Block of 3) & 2 from the Early 1970's. Basutoland: 1 Mint & 2 Cancelled all from 1953/54.

Bermuda: 2 Mint with 1 Late 1930's & 1 from Early 1950's / 4 Cancelled with 3 from Early 1940's & 1 from Early 1950's. Bavaria: 9 Mint all Overprints with 3 from 19teens, 6 from 1920's. Belgium: 16 Mint with 1 from 19teens, 1 from 1930's, 7 from Middle to Late 1940's, 5 from 1950's, 1 from 1960's / 300+ Cancelled with 27 mostly from the 1880's & 1890's, 22 from the 19teens, 45+ from the 1920's, 35+ from 1930's, 35+ from 1940's, 50+ from 1950's, 16 from 1960's, 6 from 1970's, 30 are in envelopes that range in date from the 1920s, 1930s & 1940's, 12 are also in an old Sales Sheet torn in half and is between the pages and they date from the early 1900's.

Wit the exception of the USA Section, the Stamps from Belgium is the largest section and pages appear to have been added to the Album over time and as a result many of the Belgium Stamps are out of order in the Album. Bolivia: 25+ Mint with 14 from 1940's, 13 from 1950's / 25+ Cancelled with 2 from the 1890's, 6 from Early 1900's, 1 from 1920's, 9 from 1930's, 5 from 1960's. Brazil: 11 Mint with 3 from the 1940's, 8 from 1950's / 85+ Cancelled with 7 from Late 1880's or Early 1990's, 6 from Early 1900's, 10+ from 1920's, 45+ from 1940's, 15 from 1950's, 5 from 1960's. British Guiana: 1 Mint Early 1950's / 7 Cancelled with 2 from 1930's, 4 from 1940's and 1 from Early 1950's. British Honduras: 2 Mint 1 from Early 1950's, 1 from 1970 / 1 Cancelled from Early 1950's.

British Solomon Islands: 1 Mint 1964. Bulgaria: 40+ Mint with 7 from the 19teens, 2 from 1920's, 18 from 1940's, 21 from the 1950's, 3 from 1960's / 150+ Cancelled with 5 from the 1880's to 1890's, 9 from the Early 1900's, 8 from the 19teens, 12 from the 1920's, 4 from the 1930's, 25+ from 1940's, 35+ from 1950's, 35+ from 1960's, all of the rest are from the 1970's. Please also note that many of the 1960's and especially the 1970's issues are likely Pre-Cancelled types and a few of these are inside an envelope between the pages. The Bulgaria section is the 2nd largest in the Album(Also excluding the USA Section). Burma: 1 Mint from 1945 / 21 Cancelled with 7 from the 1940's, 13 from 1950's.

Burundi: 7 Cancelled from 1964 and all are Olympic Issues and all are likely Pre-Cancelled types. Cape Of Good Hope: 7 Cancelled all Likely from the 1920's to 1930's. Cameroons: 14 Mint with 36 from the 1930's, 9 from 1940's, 1 from 1960's / 6 Cancelled with 3 from the 1940's, 3 from 1960's. Note: While the Canada Section is not the largest section of the Album, it does however represent the Large Number of Stamps from any Country in the Album. Chad: 4 Mint Triangle types from the Early 1960's.

Cayman Islands: 12 Mint with 6 from the Early 1950's, 2 from the 1960's, 4 from 1970. Central African Republic : 4 Mint all Butterfly types from 1961 / 6 Cancelled all from the 1960's. Ceylon: 2 Mint with 1 from the Early 1950's and 1 from 1969 / 40 Cancelled with 15+ from the 1930's, 5 from the 1940's, 18 from 1950's.
