Vintage Stamp Postage Album collection lot vintage

I'll start by saying I know nothing about stamps. These were acquired from a local estate of a couple that started collecting in the 1940's.

Her and her husband never had children, so stamps became there passion. The photos do not represent the entire collection as there was too much to photograph, but the photos are a large portion of it. There are stamps that date back to the late 1800's and early American stamps. Hundreds of Us Commemorative collections. There must be well over 100,000 stamps here maybe double, or triple that.

I never knew department stores had stamp and coin collecting departments. Stamp collecting books, some are full and some are not. I came across one stamp that cost 50.00 in 1969, and several early Washington's of all colors. Please let me know if you have questions or would like additional information. Not a single stamp has been removed from this collection, I just don't have the time to research them all.
