This is a substantial United States collection housed in a Harris Liberty Specialty album, ranging from the 1800s through the 1980s. The collection includes perhaps a few thousand stamps with a wide variety of early classics, commemoratives, Washington-Franklins, and modern issues. The mix is both mint and used, with condition ranging from faulty examples to sound, collectible copies. Among the early highlights are banknote issues, Civil War-era 1861 designs including Washingtons, Franklins, and an early Abraham Lincoln, as well as later 19th century portraits of Garfield, Grant, Jackson, and others.

The 1890s issues are represented, along with strong turn-of-the-century material. The Washington-Franklin period shows good coverage with coils, perf varieties, and higher denominations. Moving into the 20th century, the collection continues with commemoratives, Bicentennial issues, Farley specials, and regular issues into the 1970s and early 1980s.
