COLLECTION OF 5,000+ U. This sale is for the complete stamp collection shown in my photos; these were my late mother's collection.

Mom told me before she passed away in 2016 that "This collection is worth thousands"; beyond that, I know very little about the value of this collection. I also realize that the value of some collectibles has declined since then. No one in my family is interested in them, so we have decided to sell them and are looking for offers. Obviously, we can only picture a very limited number of the stamps in this collection, but we are willing to answer questions and provide additional photos. This is a very nice way to get an instant U. The collection contains approximately 5,054 (by my count) stamps, most of which are organized into two (2) "Harris" albums by the dates that the stamps were produced.

Most of the stamps are "hinged" into the albums but a few are in the newer clear pocket mounts. Some are also still loose in "plate block" form and have never been fixed into the albums. I went through these albums page by page to try and gain an accurate number of the stamps in this collection; the last of my photos show the details of my efforts.

In the first album the stamps date from 1860 to about 1993. Most all of the stamps from the earlier dates are used or cancelled. From about 1936 onward, it appears to me that most of the pages in this album are full or complete with all the stamps made from those years, until we get around 1990 and then there seem to be more missing. After the 1960's, many of the stamps are unused or un-cancelled. But, in my opinion, the real appeal is in the philately value and also in the time and energy it takes to put a collection like this together! By my count, there are 2,874 stamps in this first album.

In the second album the stamps appear to date from about 1993 to about 2009. Many of the stamps in this album are unused and some are still in "plate block" form. By my count, there are 1,975 stamps in this album. There are an additional 205 (by my count) stamps loose and most of these are in "plate block" form and are not in either album.

Please look carefully at my photos; these are all the actual stamps you will receive. Please note: There are faint "spots" showing in the photos, at least on my computer; these are from my camera and they are not on the stamps, the albums or the pages. Please be sure to read the "Age and Condition" and "Approximate Dimensions" paragraphs below.

I do my best to describe all items as accurately as possible and to the best of my ability. Some of my photos may be somewhat lighter or darker than actual to better show detail or color. Please look closely at the photos as they are an important part of my description of this stamp collection. This is my mom's lifetime collection and it appears to me that she took great care in making a nice quality collection. The stamps range in condition form cancelled or used to new or unused. The 2 loose leaf binders are not in the greatest condition; they show some soiling, some markings and there are some tears or splits in the plastic. The very first paper page in the older album has some tears in it and most of the pages show some age-related wear.

The paper on the older pages shows some age related-yellowing. Please also keep in mind these photos may be blown up at least 8-10 times normal, so anything you see will look 8-10 times larger in the photos than it really is. Please note: if you see a dark spot in the photos, it is from my camera and is not a mark on the pieces.

It will be either just to the right of center towards the bottom or slightly above center on the right side of the photo. The overall size of each album is about 12.25" (31.1 cm) top to bottom by about 9.625" (24.4 cm) left to right and the 2 albums together are about 5 (12.7 cm) in overall thickness. 75 ounce (5.013 kilograms) for both albums and all the stamps.
